Vietnam has implemented strategic measures to enhance tourism by introducing more visitor-friendly policies, including an easier process for obtaining a Vietnam eVisa.
The Government of Vietnam officially presented a comprehensive report to the National Assembly in April 2023, outlining proposed changes in the management of foreign entry, exit, and residence in the country. These proposals specifically focused on extending the validity of the Vietnam eVisa and expanding the list of eligible countries. We are proud to announce that the National Assembly approved these recommendations during its meeting on June 24, 2023. As a result, two significant changes regarding the Vietnam eVisa will come into effect on August 15, 2023.

2. Validity Extension for Vietnam E-visa to 90 days
The validity of the Vietnam eVisa has been extended to 90 days, allowing for both single and multiple entries. This change, approved by the National Assembly Standing Committee, aims to meet the needs of international travelers and facilitate activities such as studying, market surveys, and investment promotion in Vietnam.
This extension will particularly benefit travelers who need to visit multiple countries in Southeast Asia and return to Vietnam for further evaluation and comparison of investment opportunities. It is important to note that this change will only apply to applications submitted on or after August 15, 2023, and those who have already obtained or applied for the Vietnam eVisa before this date will not be eligible for the extended validity period.
