What are photos for?

Photos are mandatory for all types of visas, regardless of whether they are for Vietnam or any other country. The number of photos you need to prepare will depend on the visa application process, which may require either one or two photos.

To obtain a traditional visa from an Embassy/Consulate, you must provide a photograph to be attached to the visa application for identification. For a visa on arrival, you should have two photos ready, one for the application form and another for presentation if required at the airport.
